Execution-only boundary

Wealth8 is an execution-only investment platform. We do not provide personal financial or investment advice. Our platform is self-directed: you make investment decisions based on your own assessment, within Sharia-compliant portfolios designed by our investment team and certified by our Sharia Supervisory Board.

If you require personalised investment advice tailored to your individual circumstances, please consult a qualified Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) authorised by the FCA. You can search for an FCA-authorised IFA at unbiased.co.uk.

Risk Disclosures

Standard FCA risk disclosures.

Capital at risk

The value of your investments can go down as well as up. You may get back less than you invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

Sharia compliance

Sharia compliance is assessed by Wealth8's independent Sharia Supervisory Board using AAOIFI-aligned standards. Compliance certification does not guarantee investment returns. Islamic jurisprudential interpretations vary across schools (madhabs).

Liquidity risk

Some Sukuk instruments may have limited secondary market liquidity. In stressed market conditions, it may not be possible to sell holdings at quoted prices.

Currency risk

Investments in overseas assets involve currency risk. Changes in exchange rates may increase or reduce returns when converted back to GBP.

Complaints Procedure

How to make a complaint.

If you have a complaint about Wealth8, we want to resolve it fairly and promptly. Our complaint-handling procedure follows FCA requirements:

  1. Contact us first — email [email protected] or write to our registered address. We will acknowledge within 3 business days.
  2. Investigation — We aim to resolve all complaints within 8 weeks. If we cannot resolve within this period, we will write to explain why.
  3. Final response — We will issue a final written response. If you are unhappy with our response, you can refer to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Financial Ombudsman Service

If you remain dissatisfied after our final response, you may refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) — free and independent.

FSCS Protection

FSCS protection — what it covers.

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is the UK's statutory compensation scheme for customers of authorised financial services firms.

Protected: Eligible deposits (cash held in your Wealth8 account awaiting investment) are protected up to £85,000 per eligible depositor per authorised firm.

Not protected: Investment products (your ISA portfolio holdings — equities, Sukuk) are not deposits. The value of investments fluctuates with markets. The FSCS protects against firm failure, not market losses.

If Wealth8 were to fail, the FSCS would help transfer your assets to another authorised firm. Your invested assets are held in segregated custody under CASS rules — they are not available to Wealth8's creditors.

£85,000
FSCS protection per eligible depositor
  • Covers eligible cash deposits
  • Per firm, per eligible depositor
  • Applies if Wealth8 is unable to pay
  • Does not cover market losses
  • Does not cover all investment products
